Visiting Project25 Mentees...

Today, we made a very surprising visit to some Mentees. And, it was exciting meeting them with their Parents and Loved Ones...aawwh.

For Mentee Blessing Ajakaiye, an inspiring way for her to end the year was to be gifted a 2014 BIG Diary and a book (17 Secrets of High -Flying Srudents by Fela Durotoye) by her Mentor..Aunty Taiye.

Thank You, Mentors...for keeping in touch with your Mentee. #Project25.

Happy New Year!

Loads of Love.

Sincerely,

Resource Sharing is FIVE!!

This month makes it the 5th year of our existence. And, we have got SO much to be thankful for. Glory to God. Glory.

Just as the name implies: Resource Sharing Network...RSN was set up to encourage people to impact their communities through SHARED RESOURCES and over the years, we have had really amazing friends and Partners who have shared their TIME, MONEY and other RESOURCES to making life exciting for the disadvantaged people. Thank You, Friends, Partners.

The truth is that, we EXIST to make IMPACT through shared resources. And, even as we have a NEW registered organization name, already. (This is some good news..*chuckles*). Our collective objectives STAND!

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Thank you for believing in our cause. Thank you for impacting lives through us.

Yesterday, we received a kind donation of N10,000 for our street project! This is so thoughtful and we look forward to an EVENTFUL year 2014. #watch this space ;)

Most of the donations we've received are for SPECIFIC projects and our practice in RSN has been to extend necessary updates to Funders and Partners as soon as the project is executed.

In the past 16 months, we have executed about 10 projects and raised more than N2.5 Million- $14,705.

PS: Reports of these projects are visible on our blogspot: www.rsnnigeria.blogspot.com.

"I have always known that people are kind-hearted and are only looking out for right medium to donate to. People want to donate their fund to where their money counts...and, in RSN, every kobo counts. We are thankful" -Tosin Taiwo, Founder #Transparency #Accountability #HelpingYoungPeople!

FEEL free to ask us any question, we would be glad to give you an answer. :) Q/A..

RSN is 5...We Missed Those Inspiring Team Members!

Dear Sir/Ma,

Merry Christmas to you and to your loved ones. We ask this day, that the blessings which accompanies the birth of Christ would be truly yours, today and always. Merry Christmas to you!

This month makes it the FIFTH year of RSN existence. And, we have so much to be thankful for, despite the many challenges we have been faced with, especially in the first 3-4 years. I remember vividly, when the essence of our existence was no longer making good sense to other team members and they had to leave ONE after the OTHER until Tosin seem to be the only one standing... :p simply because there were no salaries attached nor allowances paid due to lack of support and funding. It was pretty tight, really....:D How much we missed those inspiring team members(4).

Today and this anniversary we choose to count our blessings and overlook those difficult moments we have had. We choose to appreciate everyone of you who have stood by us, believing in this cause! Thank you for your unimaginable support. And, just as our good friend and donor (Mrs. Faloju Taiye) would always say..."RSN is not about you, Tosin....it's about those children who need our every support and assistance". And, another Friend and terrific Mentor (Julia Pedro) would say "Thank you for being the shoulder I had to climb to do my bit". wow! Thank you all for 'choosing' to cross and stay on our path despite the frequent mails we bombard your inboxes, with! Thank you, Mr. Efosa Obazee! Your phone call was timely. You are so kind, sir. *smiles*. Thank you.

The truth is we would not have been able to do all we do without your love, care, support, prayers, donations! it means SO much to us as we have been able to support the academic programs of thousands of young people through mentorship, sponsorship and empowerment programmes! It's been an amazing FIVE years! Your expression of love has been overwhelming! May God bless you and make your ways more prosperous in the forthcoming year! Amen.

We remain instruments of Hope for the less privileged young people in Nigeria. And, we are so hopeful that Year 2014 would bring greater opportunities, blessings and open doors for everyone of us.

Our Huge appreciation to God for the opportunity.

Thank you, friends for being there. Thank you!

Sincerely,
TAIWO, Tosin

Early Learning...CIFF

Access to quality pre-primary and early primary education is critical in individual, social and economic terms. But, only 17 per cent of African children are enrolled in pre-primary education, and both Africa and India lack educational investment and cost-effective operational models. As a result, primary education is failing to develop basic skills. -Children's Investment Fund Foundation [CIFF]

For Some, We Cannot Look Away!

..While we endeavor to sponsor more needy children to school...for primary education. We truly cannot look away from Young People whose Basic National Examination such as JAMB, GCE, WAEC..we paid for. These ones are getting admission into higher institutions!!! And, they need further financial support to claim the admission, pay for some bills.

Appeal for Donation and Support is definitely inevitable..

Yesterday, Olusegun, a beneficiary of our 2012 GCE sponsorship scheme and 2013 JAMB sponsorship scheme just got an admission to study at the Polytechnic of Ibadan. He needs some push up!! Likewise some other students...Hey! And the list keeps growing.

#YoungPeopleGotNeedsToo :) #LetsHelp #WeArePullingResources2gether2MakeImpact..Gracias.. *smies*
