Street to School Initiative supports the education programs of out-of-school children and primary school drop-outs in Nigeria through her annual education sponsorship scheme and establishment of tuition-free schools where children are provided with basic learning materials, and enjoy free meal. As a non government organisation, we aspire to see a world where no child is left behind in attaining quality education.
For some weeks now, we have been involved in establishing a learning centre for out of school children in Ikola Community, Alimosho LGA, Attached herewith are photographs of some of our students. Undoubtedly, It's been a learning journey, especially for little girl Titilayo, who wants to be a Doctor but had never been in school at 8 years old. Amazingly, she is the most responsive, active, and happiest child in class! She lives with a guardian. Also, 8 years old *Mubarak cherishes every moment with other children since the demise of his mum in January, 2015. He seems such a happy boy, so eager to learn. ..taking the children off street to school. #OurPassion#Education
Dear Esteemed Friends,
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination kicks off today with Literature and Civil Education. Our best Wishes to ALL of our young friends/Mentees who are participating! Sadly, though one of our Project25 girls couldn't register for this examination due to lack of funding, however, TODAY we did put her in for the alternate examination, NECO. She starts her examination in June...! We want to use this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you once again to all of our friends who got our back in supporting these children. Thank you very much for all you do. God Bless!
