Street to School Initiative is a non-profit, youth-led organisation which sponsors the education programs of vulnerable and marginalised children in rural communities, streets in Nigeria. We believe that education is the right of every child regardless of the circumstance, gender.
Our target children are out of school, street kids, and primary school drop outs. We sponsor basic and secondary education.
In 2012. We received a grant of $3,000 from UPS Foundation for our #BagSwap Project, to promote literacy and quality learning for children from low income families. More than 1,500 pupils in Alimosho LGA got their old bags swapped with new school bags, sandals and writing materials. There was improved attendance rate in schools visited.
