In 2014, running a tuition-free school for the growing number of out-of-school children was only a WISH. An idea. This idea stemmed out from the breaking news, that, Nigeria was home to the highest number of out-of-school children in the world. How can we help these children, was the burning question.

In April 2015, the idea was birthed. A school was established for out of school children in under-served area in Lagos. 

As an NGO, running a school wasn't part of our bigger picture, initially. Apparently, our initial model was to sponsor children from street to other private schools, paying their bills. This we did, consistently, & we still do for children in other communities. However, one of our biggest challenges in running a free school was paying teachers' salaries! 😊

We understand the roles effective teachers play in promoting educational reform & improvement, we just couldn't  meet some basic needs until 2019 when Stanbic IBTC Bank showed up!

Stanbic IBTC Bank has consistently shown to us that teachers matter, by paying our #teachers bills.
