The BagSwap Project

Children who lack provision of basic learning materials perform poorly in schools. Lack of educational materials impact effective teaching and learning, hence the reason for our annual intervention at Street to School Initiative where we identify with poor learners, and equip them adequately for learning in the classroom. The BagSwap Project seeks to equip poor learners with basic educational materials for effective learning.

The 2020 BagSwap project which was funded by the United Parcel Service -UPS, STL Trustees Limited, got more than 800 bags of children, swapped! The Grand finale of the BagSwap project which took place on the 8th day of December, 2020 at Anthony Village Senior High School, Anthony, Lagos State was well attended by Officials of UPS.

The highlights of the event included: 15 minutes Mentoring Session of High School Students by Staff of UPS, Career Talk and the Swapping of Old Backpacks for new. The project has had more than 800 backpacks distributed to learners in over 13 low cost private schools & government-owned schools in Lagos and Ogun state.

The BagSwap event has been a huge success as we were able to once again put smiles on the faces of our young champ and helping them on their journey to fulfilling their dreams.
