HandCraft Fiesta for Children

Countdown begins to the 2020 #HandCraftFiesta for young people.

Street to School Initiative in partnership with FarmAfrik.Org, UPS, TutoringTucson, and The FeedersFoundation would be helping young people by  empowering them to develop the knowledge and skills they need to improve their life prospects and have access to a better future.

The objective of #HandCraftFiesta is to teach children between 9-16 years of age in Alimosho LGA, Lagos State, the specific skills they require to become more employable in the job market, now and in the future.

We aim to help young people to connect with the local market and be better equipped to find safe and suitable employment after graduation. Some of the skills to be taught are, Home Gardening/Farming for Kids, Game of Chess/Monopoly, Financial Literacy, Biomass Conversion, Paint Craft, Paper Craft, Bottle Craft (Waste Management), Coding/Robotics, Loom Knitting.

We are set out, to enhance some Self Confidence, Resilience, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Goal Setting Skills and Empathy.
