AUGUST: More Updates...

Dear Patriotic Member,




We hope that this mail meets you well.

We wish to bring to your knowledge the WAEC result received from one of our Sponsored girls –Martha! And, to remind you that Martha was the young lady who pulled out of school last two years when her Father got missing, hence her education in a private school, class SSS 2 was put on hold…until we met with her last year December and decided to sponsor her WAEC examination. Once again, zillion thanks to everyone who responded to this appeal for Sponsorship. Thank You so much…!

Always we hear the plaintive cry of the teen-ager. What can we do?...Were can we go?
The answer is GO HOME!

Hang the storm windows, paint the woodwork. Rake the leaves, mow the lawn, shovel the walk. Wash the car, learn to cook, scrub some floors. Repair the sink, build a boat, get a job.

Help the minister, priest, or rabbi, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army. Visit the sick, assist the poor, study your lessons. And then when you are through - and not too tired - read a book.
Your parents do not owe you entertainment. Your city or village does not owe you recreational facilities.
The world does not owe you a living...You owe the world something.
You owe it your time and your energy and your talents so that no one will be at war or in poverty or sick or lonely again.
Grow up; quit being a crybaby. Get out of your dream world and develop a backbone, not a wishbone, and start acting like a man or a lady.

This week, a Mentee and Beneficiary of our 2010 GCE Sponsorship Examination, Farouk Tackie has gained admission into University of Lagos, Akoka. He sends his appreciation to everyone, and mostly to his Mentor –Tunde Majiyagbe, "One thing i appreciate about my mentor is that he encourages me and he is always there for me. Immanuel goes to school..

This week, our newest friend and a beneficiary of our Education Sponsorship Programme would begin his summer class, yeah tomorrow. While he resumes his secondary education next academic term -September. PS: Immanuel did stop going to school last year June when his parent could no longer afford his bills and accumulated school debts. Thanks to some terrific individual(s) for making this happen to the disadvantaged young people. Now, he has got some donated notebooks, dictionary, pencils, pens, school pack and ready to get back to the classroom on Monday -13th August, 2012!!!
