Street to School Initiative is a registered non-profit organization which sponsors the education programs of out of school children and primary school drop outs in underserved communities and street. When he wouldn't smile nor play with other children. I knew there was a problem. His face was gloomy. And, his countenance, sad. Then I called him apart. Out of the classroom..To inquire what could be wrong. After some minutes of calmness. He muttered: "My mummy has died". Calmness, lingered, then, a short prayers with Sam. A lovely 9year old boy who lost his mum some weeks back..he is having memorable flashbacks. These are some of the children we work with.

It's hard to say goodbye to the girl in picture, as she would be away for some time to care for her granny with *eyes defect*. Although, she wishes to stay to learn, however she has to go. An orphan she is.

In 2015, we had a Career Talkshow with students of Oshodi Snr. Comprehensive High School in Oshodi. After some weeks, we revisited to give every student a copy of the book "10 laws of Academic Excellence for Secondary School Students", a fantastic, concise book written by Tolulope Ahmed.
Today, one of the beneficiaries of the book, reached out to the author to appreciate him and to express how much impact his book had on him. He shared all of his recent results to prove his point! #GoodOne. :)
How many times have we been so blessed up reading a book but never go back to appreciate the author? By sending a short mail, text messages or phone call? *winks* How many times had some book helped to bring out the best, brilliant ideas in us and we overlook the person behind the writing?

Lack of resources, long distances to travel to school are some of the factors hindering children's ability to learning.
In less than 17days, the Nigerian children would be back in schools. And, as part of our annual programs -#BagSwap, we hope to provide poor children in underserved communities education materials to learn with.
